Since it’s officially winter time and the air is cold and dry (at least in the Northeast, anyway), I thought this seemed like a pretty appropriate topic. This hand cream is fucking awesome.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream is the best lotion for the winter time.
I’ve always had really sensitive skin and my hands in particular get dry and chapped very quickly during the winter. I’ve learned the hard way that it hurts A LOT when I don’t take care of my skin properly, especially when it’s freezing cold outside.
I’ve noticed that most lotions tend to either irritate my skin further (even certain lotions that claim to have no scent have irritated me), or simply fail to hydrate my skin enough to prevent the chapping, cracking, and even sometimes, bleeding.
At some point either a year or two ago, I stumbled upon the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream, and since then both my boyfriend and I have gone through multiple tubes of it. The price kinda sucks (I want to say it’s somewhere between $6 and $8 for a single tube), but this formula has NEVER irritated my skin, and it’s been amazing for preventing the dreaded chapped hands that I used to fear every winter season.
The formula is a little bit goopy when you first apply it, so I try to only wear this at night when I’m going to bed, but it does sink in if you give it a few minutes.
I love that it’s fragrance free, since the perfume in lotion seems to be hit or miss with my skin– sometimes it stings me and sometimes it doesn’t– and since it doesn’t have a scent, my boyfriend and I can share it (aw, so cute).
If you’re suffering from red, irritated, chapped hands, I definitely think this Neutrogena cream is worth trying out. The back of the tube (pictured above) even mentions that this is safe to use on your lips, though I wouldn’t recommend it, as there are much better products out there for chapped lips.
