Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, but based on a recent trip to Sally Beauty Supply, I’ve come to the conclusion that Jamaican Black Castor Oil (still not quite sure what exactly that is, though my Google research indicates that it may promote hair growth) is the “hot” new hair treatment.
While I will say, at first glance, the Shea Moisture option (full name: Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil: Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque) seemed a bit overpriced; thus encouraging me to instead purchase the Proclaim option (that, and the fact that the sales girl at Sally’s seriously hyped it up!).
I loved the smell of the Proclaim conditioner, but unfortunately, that was the only positive I could find, and after about 2 weeks, I had to return it to Sally’s.
The Shea Moisture masque, on the other hand, not only smells like cookies, but made my hair SO soft and shiny; it’s definitely a winner in my book.
